Sorption of Fulvic Acids and Their Compounds with Heavy Metal Ions on Clay Minerals

نویسندگان

چکیده

In real soils the interaction of humic substances with clay minerals often occurs participation metal cations. The adsorption fulvic acids (FA) solution and their solutions in presence heavy ions (Pb or Zn) on two (kaolinite bentonite) was investigated by measurement optical density changes equilibrium solutions. FA bentonite at concentrations 0.05–1 g/L proceeds according to polymolecular mechanism has a stepwise character. kaolinite can be described monomolecular adsorption. three-component systems, including FA, trace element mineral, complex processes occur, formation complexes salts sorption colored Pb surface increases increasing (0.5–2 mmol/L). FA-Zn2+ compounds is more complicated process—adsorption takes place lowest concentration used only. Thus, binding cations phenomenon due chemical heterogeneity different properties metals, characteristics mineral surfaces variability environmental conditions.

Heavy metal interactions with phosphatic clay: sorption and desorption behavior.

Heavy metals produced and released during agricultural and industrial activities may pose a serious threat to the environment. This study investigated the effectiveness of phosphatic clay, a by-product of the phosphate mining industry, for immobilizing heavy metals (Pb(+2), Cd(+2), and Zn(+2)) from aqueous solutions. A batch equilibrium technique was adopted to evaluate metal sorption in the pr...

Sorption of Heavy Metal Ions from Aqueous Solutions: A Review

Sorption techniques are widely used to remove heavy metal ions from large volumes of aqueous solutions. Herein, the natural and some artificial materials, such as clay minerals, biosorbents, carbon-nanomaterials, metal oxides, are reviewed as adsorbents in the removal of different heavy metal ions, such as Ni(II), Cu(II), Pb(II), Cd(II), Cs(I), Eu(III), Th(IV), Cr(VI) from large volumes of aque...

detection of volatile compounds of medicinal plants with some nano-sorbents using modified or new methodologies and investigation of antioxidant activity of their methanolic extracts

in this work, a novel and fast method for direct analysis of volatile compounds (davc) of medicinal plants has been developed by holding a filament from different parts of a plant in the gc injection port. the extraction and analysis of volatile components of a small amount of plant were carried out in one-step without any sample preparation. after optimization of temperature, extraction time a...
